IPC registró una variación de -0,1% durante noviembre

Durante la jornada de este lunes 7 de diciembre, el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas (INE) reveló que el IPC mostró una variación de -0,1% en noviembre, una sorpresa para las estimaciones de los expertos que esperaban un alza de 0,2%.
De esta manera, se va observando que el efecto del retiro del 10% y las ayudas estatales se va diluyendo, pues la inflación acumula una variación de 2,6% en lo que va del año y de 2,7% en 12 meses, por debajo del centro de la meta del Banco Central (3%). Además, este es el tercer registro negativo en lo que va de 2020.
En tanto, la inflación subyacente, que excluye los alimentos y la energía, bajó 0,2%.
De acuerdo al INE, en el undécimo mes del año, siete de las 12 divisiones que conforman la canasta del IPC aportaron incidencias negativas en la variación mensual del índice, cuatro presentaron incidencias positivas y una registró nula incidencia. Entre las divisiones con descensos en sus precios destacó vestuario y calzado (-4,9%) y vivienda y servicios básicos (-0,2%).
Por su parte, entre las divisiones que consignaron alzas mensuales en sus precios destacó transporte (0,3%).
En base a la información del INE, el IPC del quintil de menores ingresos alcanzó el 3,1%, mientras que el de más altos ingresos registró 2,4%. Esta diferencia se produce básicamente por la importancia del ítem alimentos en los hogares del primer quintil versus el quinto quintil.
En todo caso, esta diferencia de 0,7 puntos porcentuales es menor a la de los dos meses previos (1 punto porcentual).
