Región Metropolitana concentra el 65% del total de solicitudes para subsidio al empleo

Según las cifras del Observatorio Laboral Metropolitano desde que se inició el programa de subsidio al empleo el 28 de septiembre, hasta el 10 de noviembre han postulado a este beneficio 145.009 a nivel nacional, correspondiendo de ese total 93.734 a la Región Metropolitana, lo que representa un 65% del total de asistencias entregadas. Así, de las solicitudes en la RM, 42.008 corresponde a la modalidad Contrata y 51.726 a Regresa.
Para la directora de Sence Metropolitano, Verónica Garrido, estas cifras se deben a que en la Región Metropolitana se han ido levantando las restricciones y aumentando la movilidad y, por ende, se está poniendo en marcha la economía. En cada una de las regiones del país hay indicios de reactivación y esperamos que en los próximos días, semanas y meses esto aumente para que la totalidad de los puestos perdidos por la pandemia y los nuevos empleos que se puedan crear comiencen a reactivar la economía”.
En cuanto a la evaluación y los requisitos para postular y flexibilizarlos, Garrido enfatizó que “una vez tengamos la mitad del proceso realizado será posible una evaluación y tal vez sea probable alguna modificación para flexibilizar o ampliar para que más empresas y trabajadores puedan postular”.
Además de estas cifras, el Observatorio Laboral Metropolitano, informó que en el trimestre julio-septiembre, la tasa de ocupación subió 1,6 puntos porcentuales respecto al trimestre anterior, lo que se traduce en la creación de 112.860 empleos.
También, hubo un aumento de 75.026 nuevos ocupados el trimestre julio-septiembre 2020, de los cuales el 37,8% corresponde a empleos ocupados por mujeres y 62,2% por hombres.
Por su parte, la Coordinadora Observatorio Laboral Metropolitano, Ángeles Morandé, sostuvo que “en la RM se ven señales de recuperación en el mercado laboral desde los últimos tres trimestres móviles, aunque son leves, lo importante es que han sido constantes, según se ha ido retomando la actividad en la región”.
