Informe Superintendencia de Pensiones: cambios en multifondos han perjudicado rentabilidad de afiliados

De acuerdo al último informe elaborado por la Superintendencia de Pensiones (SP), titulado “Resultados de los Cambios de Fondos Marzo 2014-Noviembre 2020”, en el que se actualizó el análisis respecto del impacto en la rentabilidad de los afiliados de las distintas sugerencias de movimientos, se muestra que en promedio las personas han obtenido una rentabilidad un 6% menor entre marzo 2014 y noviembre 2020 debido a los cambios que han realizado.
Según los datos del estudio, en 2020, 1.054.677 personas cambiaron de fondos y en promedio los afiliados que hicieron 5,65 cambios tenían 40,6 años, quienes movieron unos $20.230.614 cada uno desde sus cuentas de capitalización individual de sus AFP. Ese es el número más alto de afiliados que desde 2014 traspasaron dinero entre las distintas alternativas de fondos.
Además, el informe arrojó que el 80% de las personas que realizan cambios de fondo, lo hacen peor que la alternativa de haberse quedado en la estrategia por defecto o haberse mantenido en el fondo inicial donde estaban antes de empezar a cambiar de fondos.
El estudio detalla que entre 2014 y 2020, la rentabilidad de quienes se cambiaron de fondo es en promedio un 6,4% menor que quienes siguieron su estrategia inicial, como por ejemplo quedarse en el fondo A o E; y es un 5,7% menor respecto de quienes siguieron la estrategia por defecto, es decir, moviéndose según la edad entre los fondos B, C y D.
De esta manera, el porcentaje de afiliados que rentaron menos respecto de la estrategia inicial, y por defecto, llega a 79,5% y 78,2%, respectivamente.
Desde la SP aseguraron que estos resultados son concluyentes y demuestran “que una estrategia de inversión con cambios frecuentes de fondos, buscando ganarle al mercado, es una estrategia que obtiene malos resultados, además de ser muy riesgosa”.
