Bitcoin: valor de mercado supera el US$ 1 billón

La criptomoneda más famosa y valiosa del mercado, el Bitcoin, experimentó un salto de 10,34% durante este miércoles 6 de enero,  instalándose así en nuevos máximos históricos. Concretamente, se transó en unos US$ 38.152, mientras que su valor de mercado se empina hasta los US$ 1,1 billones, cifra equivalente al PIB de Indonesia (más de cuatro veces el PIB de Chile).

Cabe recordar que hace menos de un mes, el bitcoin acaparó titulares de la prensa financiera cuando superó los US$ 20.000. Esta racha alcista del token digital partió a comienzos de octubre, acumulando un violento incremento de 176,8 % desde esa fecha, de acuerdo a los registros de Bloomberg.

Además, JP Morgan, ya lo puso a la par del oro como un activo refugio. “La competencia de Bitcoin con el oro ya comenzó en nuestra mente”, dijeron los estrategas de JPM en una nota, citando las recientes fugas de US$ 7.000 millones del oro y más de US$ 3.000 millones de ingresos en Grayscale Bitcoin Trust.

En ese escenario, el banco de inversión estadounidense cree que la criptomoneda podría llegar hasta los US$ 146.000 si efectivamente se establece como un activo de refugio.
