Salcobrand y Cruz Verde compensarán a consumidores afectados por colusión de medicamentos

El Servicio Nacional del Consumidor (Sernac) informó durante la jornada de este miércoles 11 de noviembre que se alcanzó un acuerdo con las cadenas de farmacias Cruz Verde y Salcobrand, con el fin de compensar a los consumidores por la colusión en el precio de medicamentos entre 2007 y 2008. De esta manera, ambas empresas destinarán un total de US$1,8 millones para el pago de compensaciones, que beneficiarán a unos 53 mil consumidores.

 

Según señaló el director nacional del Sernac, Lucas Del Villar, el monto que recibirán cada uno de los consumidores será de unos $ 22 mil.

 

En tanto, farmacias Ahumada (Fasa) no entregó una propuesta de compensación en este proceso, por lo que seguirá en juicio.

 

Lucas de Villar indicó que “ningún monto puede compensar el daño que causa la manipulación de los precios en el mercado, menos en algo tan importante como son los medicamentos, donde está en juego la vida y salud de las personas”. Sin embargo, agregó que “los consumidores más afectados por esta colusión, obtendrán una compensación que incluso será mayor al sobreprecio individual pagado”.

 

De esta forma, el pago se realizará luego que el acuerdo sea aprobado por el tribunal y a través de transferencias electrónicas y retiro en sucursales de BancoEstado y ServiEstado.

 

En el sitio www.micompensacion.cl los consumidores pueden verificar si están en la lista de beneficiarios a partir de hoy. El grupo de beneficiarios se determinó en función de su vulnerabilidad. Aquellas personas más afectadas con enfermedades crónicas y que requerían tratamiento.
