Conoce UpGirl, la nueva App de transportes exclusiva para mujeres

A inicios del 2020, ante los diversos casos y denuncias contra conductores de plataformas móviles de transporte por abusos a pasajeras, la emprendedora chilena Kim Maturana creó UpGirl, una App de transportes exclusiva para mujeres que busca conectarlas y trasladarlas de manera cómoda, tranquila y segura en nuestro país.

“Considerando que la mujer es concebida como el pilar fundamental de la familia y la sociedad, con este proyecto buscamos promover de manera colaborativa la creación de más y mejores espacios de crecimiento y desarrollo, fomentar su presencia activa en la reactivación de la economía nacional en tiempos de crisis mundial y permitir que pueden generar ingresos de manera flexible y segura mejorando su calidad de vida y bienestar. Por otro lado, también buscamos conectarnos, protegernos y darnos nuevas oportunidades de manera justa, tanto en sus comisiones y tarifas, y cumpliendo además con la legislación y tributación chilena, contribuyendo así a mejorar las garantías que el Estado nos debe brindar”, cuenta Kim Maturana, CEO de UpGirl. 

En el mismo sentido, Maturana agrega que son varias las características principales y atributos de UpGirl que las hacen sobresalir del resto de las aplicaciones de transporte y movilidad, partiendo por un “riguroso proceso de registro y validación de la usuaria, tanto conductora como pasajera, y se permiten sólo pagos electrónicos con cargo automático, por lo que las pasajeras pueden registrar sus tarjetas de débito, crédito, prepago y también mediante una billetera electrónica MACH. Por otro lado, además de la gran barrera que significa la exclusividad para mujeres y niños, tenemos otros mecanismos de protección como la doble oportunidad de cancelación sin cobro, botón S.O.S. enviando mensaje con la ubicación a contactos predefinidos y a la central, una opción de denuncia y calificación, las que finalmente pueden determinar el bloqueo de una usuaria. También se pueden guardar las conductoras favoritas y le damos una especial importancia a los canales de comunicación para atender y asistir a las usuarias”.

En cuanto al rango de cobertura de la aplicación, esta parte conectando a conductoras con pasajeras en todas las comunas de la Región Metropolitana y la Región de Valparaíso, esto porque “Santiago representa la mayor concentración de mujeres en el país y es urgente proteger a la mayor cantidad cuanto antes, y Valparaíso porque también necesitamos un país descentralizado, dónde la innovación y servicios lleguen al resto de las regiones y mejoren las condiciones de vida. Además, se consideró la Quinta Región debido a la gran movilidad que tiene con la RM, su deficiente sistema de transporte y altas tasas de desempleo, en donde lamentablemente las mujeres son las más afectadas, destacando dos polos: San Felipe- Los Andes y Valparaíso-Viña-Concón. Lo que sí, cabe destacar que son las usuarias las que dan vida y movimiento a esta App, porque por más que la cobertura lo permita, no tendrá la dinámica esperada dónde no hayan conductoras y pasajeras activas. Por esto es tan importante que cada una se registre en la página web www.upgirl.cl y difunda para que esta dinámica se alcance lo antes posible. Esperamos de esta manera cubrir el territorio inicial y pronto llegar a más lugares”, explica la emprendedora.

Finalmente, y respecto a los requisitos y procedimientos para poder ser conductora de UpGirl, Maturana indica que “deben ser mujeres mayores de 19 años para trasladar pasajeros y 18 años para envíos, que cuenten con sexo registral femenino y RUT otorgado por el Servicio de Registro Civil e Identidad del Gobierno de Chile, ya sean de nacionalidad chilena o extranjera, de cualquier parte de Chile, y activarse en la cobertura habilitada. En cuanto al procedimiento para registrarse, deben presentar certificado de antecedentes penales; cargar imagen frontal de Cédula Nacional de Identidad (vigente); cargar imagen frontal de licencia de conducir, la que puede ser clase A, B, y también clase C (Motos) sólo será apta para despachos; descargar hoja de vida de la conductora, la que se someterá a evaluación; y Llenar el formulario de registro disponible en la página web www.upgirl.cl opción Regístrate”.
