Fundación Chilena de la Adopción cumple 35 años al servicio del derecho de los niños a tener una familia
La Fundación Chilena de la Adopción (Fadop), se encuentra conmemorando durante este mes de septiembre sus 35 años al servicio de la importante tarea de garantizar a cada niño y niña el derecho de vivir en familia. Desde 1985, han apoyado a mujeres en conflicto con el embarazo, familias de origen, familias de acogida y familias adoptivas.
Mediante un comprometido trabajo, han buscado el desarrollo integral de los niños y niñas, fomentando la vinculación familiar, promoviendo el apego con figuras estables que, con mucho amor, cuidan mientras llega su familia definitiva.
Según lo que indican como institución, para reforzar la convicción de este servicio, exponen la idea de que “todo niño tiene derecho a vivir en una familia que lo ame con locura”.
Respecto a este admirable camino que ayuda a los niños y niñas de nuestro país durante todo este tiempo, la directora de la Fadop, Alejandra Ramirez, menciona que “sin duda, el logro más significativo de la Fundación ha sido encontrar familias para más de 1.500 niños y niñas que han visto garantizado su derecho de crecer en familia mediante la adopción”.
“Además, nuestra Fundación ha sido pionera en el sistema de cuidado alternativo conocido como Familias de Acogida, actualmente promovido como política pública para el cuidado de niños y niñas menores de 6 años. En estos 35 años, nuestras familias de acogida han cuidado a más de 800 niños y niñas, mientras el Tribunal de Familia define su situación familiar definitiva”, agregó la directora de la fundación.
En cuanto a la adaptación de la labor que realiza la fundación en medio de la pandemia por Covid-19, Alejandra indica que “por una parte, hemos tenido que progresivamente y sin perder los estándares de calidad, adaptar todos nuestros dispositivos de atención, que eran presenciales, a la modalidad virtual. Ello ha implicado un arduo trabajo de los equipos y una gran disposición de nuestros usuarios y usuarias a dar continuidad a los procesos de manera virtual”.
Desde la fundación hacen énfasis en la motivación que se debe tener con los niños y niñas, ya que reconocen que para su pleno desarrollo necesitan al menos una persona adulta que muera de amor por él o por ella. “A nosotros nos mueve amor por los y las niñas y la convicción de que el mejor lugar para un niño es una familia que garantice sus derechos, independiente del sexo y la cantidad de personas que ejerzan el rol parental, lo que nos importa es que sean personas idóneas para asumir la hermosa y ardua tarea de la formación de un niño/a”, menciona Alejandra.
Finalmente y para lo que se puede proyectar en este escenario complejo en lo sanitario y en lo social, Alejandra comenta que tiene una actitud positiva, y que están llamados a escuchar a los niños y niñas, y ese mandato no es posible enfrentarlo desde la tristeza o el fatalismo”.
