De acuerdo al sondeo realizado por Cadem “El Chile que viene” correspondiente al mes de septiembre, entre los aspectos que dificultan el teletrabajo, un 52% de las mujeres destacó el tener que compatibilizar trabajo con las tareas del hogar, misma dificultad que es indicada por los hombres en un 41%. Mientras que el tener que apoyar con las tareas a los hijos, al mismo tiempo que trabajar, muestra una relación más equitativa entre hombres y mujeres con 17% y 18%, respectivamente.
Ante la pregunta sobre a quién afecta más la crisis económica, 75% apuntó que a ambos por igual, mientras que 21% dijo que afecta más a las mujeres y 2% más a los hombres.
En relación a las medidas que se han propuesto para la reactivación y recuperación del empleo, el 86% dijo estar de acuerdo con el proyecto que busca extender el derecho de sala cuna a todas las madres dependientes, independientes y trabajadoras de casa particular, pagado en parte por el Estado y en parte por todos los empleadores.
También, un 85% está de acuerdo con que el Estado destine fondos para apoyar el micro emprendimiento femenino y 77% aprueba que el Estado destine fondos a un subsidio especial para el empleo en sectores donde trabajan más mujeres como comercio, alimentación, casa particular, turismo y educación.
Además, 65% cree que sería positivo que el subsidio al empleo sea mayor para mujeres, que han sido más afectadas por la crisis.
En cambio, 87% está en desacuerdo con el regreso de los niños a las clases presenciales.
El sondeo también explora que en los quehaceres del hogar, donde entre los principales resultados se muestra que las mujeres dedican en promedio 8 horas al cuidado de niños o niñas, mientras que los hombres 4 horas. En tanto a las labores domésticas las mujeres pasan 3 horas promedio dedicadas a esas actividades frente a las 2 horas de los hombres.
La gerenta general de Cadem, Karen Thal, afirmó que el hecho de que las mujeres estén dedicando 8 horas al cuidado de los hijos y los hombres solo 4 “nos muestra cómo esta crisis ha dejado en evidencia lo mucho que nos falta por avanzar hacia una sociedad en que padres y madres seamos corresponsables del cuidado de los hijos”.
