Bancos refuerzan sus canales digitales en medio de rescates masivos de fondos de AFP

En un comunicado difundido este miércoles 5 de agosto, la Asociación de Bancos e Instituciones Financieras (ABIF) destacó el trabajo en conjunto que se está llevando a cabo con la Superintendencia de Pensiones, las administradoras de fondos previsionales y la Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF), indicando que las casas bancarias asociadas han estado reforzando la infraestructura de los sistemas de pago para poder hacer frente al aumento de carga operacional.
En esa línea, la entidad gremial señaló que las acciones van dirigidas a enfrentar un proceso que describen como «complejo, masivo y sin precedentes». Ante este escenario, la banca también hizo un llamado a realizar el trámite por medio de sus canales digitales o remotos y así evitar ir a las instituciones de forma presencial.
“Es importante tener presente que las solicitudes de retiro de fondos y las respectivas órdenes de transferencias y pagos deben ser validadas previamente por las administradoras de fondos de pensiones (AFP). Este proceso aún está en pleno desarrollo y no exento de desafíos, y esperamos que se lleve a cabo de forma óptima para tener un adecuado ciclo de pago, pudiendo eventualmente adelantarse el abono en las cuentas”, indicó la Abif.
Además, la Asociación destacó que la solución del pago a través de un vale vista «presenta serias complejidades que no lo hacen aconsejable», dado que exige la asistencia a una sucursal bancaria.
Desde la Abif también hicieron un llamado a ser cuidadoso con el manejo de sus datos personales en el proceso del retiro del 10% y así evitar fraudes. No compartir claves ni dispositivos de seguridad bancarios, realizar el trámite en una red segura y no abrir o entregar las claves a un tercero en ninguna circunstancia. “Ni las AFP ni los bancos contactarán a sus clientes para solicitar claves de seguridad y los bancos nunca enviarán correos o mensajes de texto con un link”, advirtieron desde la Abif.
