Rotación laboral bajó 4,8 puntos durante primer trimestre y registra nivel más bajo desde 2015

El informe “Workmonitor” realizado por la empresa reclutadora Randstad correspondiente al primer trimestre de 2020, que se enfoca en la rotación laboral como medición del panorama actual en el mercado del trabajo, arrojó que nuestro país cayó 4,8 puntos porcentuales en doce meses hasta ubicarse en 21,9 puntos, anotando la mayor caída desde el 2015 cuando en igual periodo descendió 10,9 pp.

 

Con esto, Chile se posicionó como el tercer país en que más descendió este indicador (entre 38 países que analiza el informe), superado solamente por Canadá, con -7,9 pp, y Portugal, con -5,9 pp. En tanto, si se compara con otros países de Latinoamérica que participan en el estudio, Chile es seguido en el descenso por Brasil (-0,5pp), mientras que la mayor alza la mostró México con (4,0 pp), y luego Argentina con (0,8 pp).

 

En el contexto actual, estas cifras tienen un carácter más bien negativo por la presión que está teniendo el mercado laboral, y de esta forma lo entiende el director de Randstad Professionals, Felipe Lagos, quien indicó que “esto se debe principalmente a que hoy existe una muy limitada creación de puestos de trabajo, ya que gran parte de las compañías congeló sus procesos de contratación de personal en el marco de la desaceleración económica provocada por la crisis mundial”.

 

De esta forma, también se analizaron las variaciones a partir del género, donde el descenso más considerable en rotación laboral se dio entre las mujeres, con una baja de 7,3 pp; mientras que en los hombres registró una caída de 2,2 pp.

 

También se registraron las variaciones según la edad, arista en que el indicador se derrumbó considerablemente en el segmento con mayor movilidad histórica, es decir, en los profesionales de 25 a 34 años, pasando de 36,8% a 24,5%, con -12,3 pp. en un año. En orden de caída le sigue el tramo de 35 a 44 años, con -8 pp y luego el de 18 a 24 años, con 4,1 pp.

 

A pesar de la baja en las cifras, el grupo que concentra a los mayores de 55 años marcó un particular cambio en la tendencia, creciendo 1,6 pp. y entre los colaboradores de 45 a 54 años, tuvo un alza de 0,9 pp.

 

Respecto a los factores implícitos en la menor movilidad laboral que se está presentando en nuestro país, Felipe Lagos señaló que “el principal agente gatillador para cambiar de un trabajo a otro en Chile, son las mejoras contractuales. Como hoy no está dado el contexto para que se presenten todas las variables, la rotación laboral se vio estancada”.
