Aumentan procesos de quiebra de empresas y personas entre enero y abril

En el marco de la crisis sanitaria y económica a nivel mundial y nacional por el Covid-19, el panorama no se ve muy alentador en nuestro país y ya son varios los informes que reflejan la fuerte caída económica que se viene sosteniendo en los primeros meses de este año. Uno de esos documentos es el publicado este lunes 11 de mayo por la Superintendencia de Insolvencia y Reemprendimiento, el que muestra que entre enero y abril del presente año, los procesos de quiebras de empresas subieron 11,5%, totalizando 564 solicitudes, mientras que la liquidación de personas naturales aumentó en un 20%, llegando a 1.819 casos, en igual periodo.
En cuanto a la quiebra de personas si se compara con abril del año pasado el salto es mucho mayor, ya que subió 40% (hasta 520 personas). En tanto, el procedimiento de reorganización de las empresas cayó 11,1%, pasando de 18 casos en 2019 a 16 en 2020. En abril, solo 67 optaron por esta vía, acumulando 471 solicitudes en los primeros cuatro meses, con un incremento interanual de 13%.
El Gobierno, en tanto, trabaja para desarrollar un sistema en que las empresas puedan optar a la reorganización antes que la quiebra, esto debido a que actualmente el trámite y el costo para las pymes es algo elevado, ya que se les exige contar con un informe de un contador y con la presencia de un veedor (síndico).
Por su parte, el superintendente de Insolvencia y Reemprendimiento, Hugo Sánchez, menciona ante la situación de crisis del momento que “efectivamente se espera un aumento sustancial en la cantidad de solicitudes, tanto de empresas como de personas, pero no en las dimensiones que se daría sin el esfuerzo significativo que el Gobierno ha hecho para enfrentar los efectos financieros de esta crisis” aseguró.
Los casos más evidentes en las complicaciones que han tenido las empresas durante los últimos meses, se hace notar en el sector de aerolíneas, ejemplo de esto es la compañía aeronáutica Avianca, que ha entrado en proceso de quiebra esta última semana, tras reducir en más del 80% sus ingresos. Además, otras organizaciones del rubro, como LATAM, han debido iniciar o solicitar negociaciones con autoridades para evitar situaciones similares.
Situación que complementa el Ministerio de Economía, que ha estimado en unas 40 mil empresas aproximadamente que podrían estar en riesgo de requerir una liquidación de sus bienes.
Informaciones que demuestran el frágil momento económico del país, ya que días atrás se dio a conocer la fuerte caída en el mercado automotriz de un 72,8% según la Asociación Nacional Automotriz de Chile (ANAC). Y también con las cifras del Índice Mensual de Actividad Económica (IMACEC), en el cual se registró una preocupante baja del 3,5% durante el mes de marzo.
Ante este panorama, el Ministro de Hacienda, Ignacio Briones, ya venía anunciando días atrás que “entramos en meses donde la actividad económica va a caer significativamente, se vienen meses muy complicados que nos van a golpear duro”, expresó la autoridad.
