Tembici invierte más de US$12 millones para modernizar Bike Santiago
- Tembici, propietaria de Bike Santiago, presentó los nuevos modelos de bicicletas y estaciones que se integrarán al sistema de movilidad compartida.
- Además, se presentaron mejoras a las plataformas de servicio al cliente, y las nuevas tarifas del sistema.
Tembici, empresa brasileña líder en servicios de movilidad urbana, presentó la total transformación del sistema de bicicletas públicas, Bike Santiago tras una inversión de US$12 millones.
En el desayuno realizado en la Fundación Cultural de Providencia se presentaron las nuevas bicicletas y estaciones modulares que se instalarán en 14 comunas de la capital como Santiago, Ñuñoa, Providencia, Recoleta, Estación Central y Maipú.
Dentro de las novedades y mejoras que contempla esta nueva etapa de Bike Santiago, se encuentra la renovación del 100% de las bicicletas por nuevos modelos, la ampliación de las estaciones, el perfeccionamiento a la atención al cliente y un nuevo sistema de tecnología desarrollado por la empresa canadiense PBSC Urban Solutions.
En junio, Tembici adquirió el 100% de Bicicletas Públicas de Santiago, quienes estaban encargados de operar las coloridas bicicletas naranjas, Bike Santiago. El proyecto de Tembici en Chile es de un total de US$ 50 millones.
Con presencia en 17 ciudades de Brasil, Tembici está en el mercado de bicicletas compartidas desde 2010 con más de 8.000 bicicletas y 750 estaciones en suelo brasileño, teniendo una exitosa experiencia en las principales ciudades como Sâo Paulo, Río de Janeiro y Porto Alegre. Luego de la expansión a Chile, llegarán también a Buenos Aires, Argentina, en el mes de diciembre.
Además, junto con la inversión en tecnología, Tembici anunció una disminución de las tarifas y la inclusión de un nuevo plan diario, de acuerdo al siguiente cuadro:

Respecto a los cambios, Tomás Martins, CEO de Tembici, comenta que: “Estamos ansiosos de empezar este nuevo período de Bike Santiago con Tembici, y así beneficiar a los fieles clientes de nuestras bicicletas compartidas. Nuestros usuarios contarán con un servicio de primer nivel, tecnología de punta y bicicletas de estándar internacional”. También agregó que “nos hemos preocupado de que los cambios no sean solo a nivel externo de bicicletas y estaciones, sino que también haya mejorado el servicio de atención al cliente, para así partir de la mejor forma esta nueva etapa de Bike Santiago”.
