Gerentes Generales dialogan sobre su rol sustentable en el país en ceremonia que reconoció a empresas líderes en negocios responsables.

 

• Durante la Ceremonia de la 14ª versión del Ranking de Sustentabilidad Empresaria PROhumana, los máximos líderes de las siete empresas reconocidas -L’Oréal Chile, Paris, Transelec S.A, Entel, Essbio, CGE y Cristalerías de Chile- fueron parte de un activo debate sobre el rol que como empresas deben cumplir para aportar en materias éticas, económicas, sociales y medioambientales.

• Durante la jornada se realizó un reconocimiento a 18 empresas de la Alianza por el Género PROhumana que se evaluaron y aplicaron el Índice de Equidad de Género PROhumana, un instrumento que mide el desempeño actual de las empresas en materia de Equidad de Género.

• En esta versión del Ranking de Sustentabilidad Empresarial PROhumana se dieron a conocer los resultados de la Encuesta a Trabajadores realizada a las empresas participantes, en el que se identifican las principales temáticas que estos valoran en la sustentabilidad de sus empresas.

 

30 de agosto de 2018.- Hoy, a las 17.30 horas en el Hotel W, se conocieron las empresas ganadoras de la 14ª versión del Ranking de Sustentabilidad Empresarial PROhumana 2018, un espacio que distingue a las empresas más sustentables de Chile que aplicaron el Modelo de Estrategia de Negocio Sustentable PROhumana.

En esta nueva versión -que reunió a más de 400 personas entre líderes empresariales, de Gobierno y de la sociedad civil- siete empresas fueron las reconocidas por su desempeño en materia ética, social, ambiental y económica: el primer lugar lo obtuvo L’Oréal Chile, seguido por Paris y Transelec S.A. Entel ocupó el cuarto lugar, mientras que Esbbio, CGE y Cristalerías de Chile obtuvieron el quinto, sexto y séptimo lugar respectivamente.

“Hace ya 21 años que desde PROhumana hemos propuesto diferentes retos que como sociedad debemos tomarlos a través de la sustentabilidad; como lo es la equidad de género, inclusión y diversidad, la previsión responsable, regulación frente al acoso sexual, huella de carbono, huella de plástico, transparencia, uso de energías renovables, pago justo a proveedores y así, muchas variables más para orientar y mejorar la gestión de empresas responsables. Hoy existen muchos otros desafíos integrados, una tarea pendiente con el cambio climático y la inequidad social y desde PROhumana siempre hemos sido enfáticos en que una empresa o un Estado sustentable, que quiera integrar todos estos temas como propósitos, debe pensarse y gestionarse de modo sistémico, nunca linealmente y menos reactivamente”, explicó Soledad Teixidó, Presidenta Ejecutiva de PROhumana en el discurso brindado durante la 14ª versión del Ranking de Sustentabilidad Empresarial PROhumana.

También destacó que “la sociedad está cambiando, ya nada es lo mismo y todos estos temas debemos seguir trabajándolos pero incorporando nuevas variables, como la transparencia y la ética, la Inteligencia artificial y la sociedad de Derechos. Es desde ese lugar que debemos actuar y responder, hoy y mañana”.
La Ceremonia contó además con la intervención de la Ministra (S) de la Mujer y Equidad de Género, Carolina Cuevas, quien señaló que “la sustentabilidad y la equidad de género va en línea con el desafío de este Gobierno de un Chile integral, inclusivo y sustentable. Nuestro objetivo es trabajar la igualdad de género, a pesar de que estamos aún lejos de disminuir las brechas… Sin embargo, desde el Gobierno tenemos un rol muy importante de cubrirlas y hacernos cargo de éstas. El desafío está en apoyar los cambios culturales de la mano de las empresas que tienen una parte fundamental, ya que pueden avanzar más rápido debido a sus espacios de libertad; aportando en mejorar la calidad de vida, conciliación y la equidad de género.

Por su parte, Alfonso Swett, Presidente de la Confederación de la Producción y el Comercio (CPC) reflexionó en su discurso diciendo que “para enfrentar los grandes desafíos de desigualdad, necesitamos afrontarlos con convicción, humildad y valentía. El centro de la mirada tiene que estar en la persona. Queremos una sociedad horizontal de comunicación, por ejemplo no hablar de pensiones, sino que del adulto mayor”.

Durante la Ceremonia de Premiación, los siete gerentes generales de las empresas reconocidas – Luis Zarauza, Country Manager CGE; Eduardo Carvallo, Gerente General Cristalerías de Chile; Manuel Araya, Gerente de Asuntos Corporativos Grupo Entel; Eduardo Abuauad, Gerente General Essbio; Enrique Teixidó, Director General L´Oréal Chile; Ricardo Bennett, Gerente General Tiendas por Departamento Cencosud y Andrés Kulmann, Gerente General Transelec S.A.- fueron convocados a compartir sobre sus estrategias de sustentabilidad que los llevaron a destacar como una de las empresas más sustentables de Chile, proyectando además cuales serán sus compromisos en esta materia para el 2019.

Trabajadores chilenos definen la sustentabilidad

En esta 14ª versión, el Modelo de Estrategia de Negocio Sustentable PROhumana que se utilizó para medir a las empresas participantes y que definió los resultados del Ranking de Sustentabilidad Empresarial PROhumana 2018, consideró una Encuesta a Trabajadores que evalúa la gestión del Talento Sustentable que ha desarrollado la empresa, a través del nivel de conocimiento que manejan los trabajadores/as de la cada una. De esta manera, el universo de participantes fue de 27.500 colaboradores, sumando en 14 años un universo de más de 1.227.500 trabajadores evaluados en conocimiento de la sustentabilidad.

Lo que destacan los trabajadores de sus empresas este 2018 (en escala de 1 a 5, donde 1 no representa en nada a la empresa y 5 la describe totalmente)

El sistema de gestión ética de la empresa con un puntaje de 4,30
El plan de salud y seguridad de la empresa con un puntaje de 4,25
El proceso de evaluación de desempeño de su empresa con un puntaje de 4,22
Los planes para prevenir la corrupción con un puntaje de 4,0
La existencia de una política de sustentabilidad con un puntaje de 3,96
La política de no discriminación con un puntaje de 3,92

Lo que consideran los trabajadores que debe ser mejorado por sus empresas este 2018 (en escala de 1 a 5, donde 1 no representa en nada a la empresa y 5 la describe totalmente)
Mejorar la eficiencia energética con un puntaje de 3,38
Mejorar mecanismos que eviten discriminaciones entre mujer y hombre en procesos de selección, contratación y desarrollo de carrera con un puntaje de 3.36
Mejorar las políticas de pago a los proveedores en un plazo de 30 días con un puntaje de 3,28
Mejorar las políticas de formación e incentivos en previsión y jubilación con un puntaje de 3,22
Transparentar las políticas de remuneración para generar equidad con un puntaje de 3,06

Reconocimiento a Empresas de la Alianza por el Género

Por segundo año consecutivo, las empresas y organizaciones de la Alianza por el Género PROhumana – iniciativa colaborativa entre empresas, embajadas y organizaciones que busca generar un Chile con más Equidad de Género al 2020- fueron reconocidas en el marco de la Ceremonia de Premiación del 14° Ranking de Sustentabilidad Empresarial 2018. Esto, gracias al compromiso establecido en la construcción de un país con mayor equidad de género, donde las mujeres y las niñas puedan vivir en una sociedad de derechos y elecciones.

En la Ceremonia se distinguieron a las 50 empresas y organizaciones adherentes a esta iniciativa, mientras que hubo un reconocimiento público a las 18 empresas que este año se evaluaron a través del Índice de Equidad de Género PROhumana 2018, entregando a todas una misma distinción. De esta forma Bci; Cristalerías de Chile; Eelaw; Empresas SB; Essbio; Falabella; GNL Mejillones; GNL Quintero; Jumbo; Laboratorios Bagó; L’Oréal Chile; Nestlé; Paris; Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría; Teck; Unilever y WOM fueron reconocidas tras participar de este índice.

El Índice de Equidad de Género PROhumana (IEG) entrega un diagnóstico sobre la situación actual de las empresas en torno a diversas dimensiones que abordan la Equidad de Género, identificando brechas y generando planes de acción concretos; y el cual se estructura en base al proceso de gestión continua del Modelo de Estrategia de Negocio Sustentable PROhumana, evaluando la Planificación, Implementación, Evaluación y Comunicación de la estrategia organizacional en Equidad de Género.

Este Índice destaca ya que, entre otros indicadores, está alineado con uno de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), específicamente el 5, el que busca lograr la igualdad entre los géneros y empoderar a todas las mujeres y las niñas; meta que también busca la Alianza por el Género, al trabajar con las empresas en aportar a este objetivo mundial.
